Building the Intelligence Layer for Wealth Management
Forward Deployed Engineer
This is not a traditional implementation role, nor is it an internal product engineering role. You’ll own problems end-to-end: from shaping ambiguous requirements to shipping working systems that deliver measurable impact. You will operate as a technical builder in customer environments, helping close the gap between business complexity and production-grade software.
What you’ll do
- Partner directly with customer stakeholders to understand workflows, constraints, and goals
- Translate real-world problems into scalable, production-grade technical solutions
- Build and deploy systems using Astraeus’ platform and modern tooling (including AI-native workflows)
- Rapidly prototype and iterate, often starting with rough ideas and evolving them into robust systems
- Act as a trusted technical partner to customers: someone who both understands the problem and delivers the solution
- Work across product, engineering, and customer teams to ensure what gets deployed is technically sound, operationally viable, and aligned to user outcomes
What we’re looking for
- 2–5 years of experience in a high-performance, client-facing environment
- Proven ability to take ownership and drive workstreams independently
- Strong technical fluency—you can build, debug, and ship, whether your background is in software engineerings, technical consulting, solutions engineerings, or a similar hands-on roleComfort operating in ambiguity and turning incomplete information into action
- Experience working with complex organizations, workflows, and stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility quickly with both tehcnical and non-technical audiences
Strong signals
- You’ve experimented with LLMs, automation, or AI-driven workflows in real or side projects
- You’ve built scrappy tools, scripts, or pragmatic systems to solve real problems
- You’re curious about agentic systems and how software can take action, not just provide insight
- You enjoy figuring things out quickly with new tools, not waiting for perfect specs or training
You might be a fit if you:
- Prefer building and delivering over creating decks and recommendations
- Want to stay close to real users and real problems
- Enjoy working directly with customers, but want to own the outcome, not just advise on it
- Find yourself experimenting with new tools, especially AI, just to see what’s possible
- Are looking for a faster-paced, higher-impact environment than traditional paths offer
Why Astraeus
- You’ll ship real systems, not just propose them
- You’ll work with cutting-edge AI capabilities in real customer environments
- You’ll see your work used in live workflows immediately
- You’ll help define how AI-native software gets deployed inside complex organizations
Forward Deployed Delivery Manager
This is not a traditional project management role. You’re not here to track tasks, you’re here to drive outcomes. You’ll operate in the middle of ambiguity, push work forward across multiple streams, and ensure that what gets built actually delivers value in production. You will own delivery across stakeholders, timelines, dependencies, and execution risk, helping turn complex customer environments into successful live deployments.
What you’ll do
- Own end-to-end delivery of customer deployments, from initial scoping through production rollout
- Drive execution across multiple parallel workstreams, covering (technical, operational, and stakeholder dimensions
- Work directly with customer stakeholders to align priorities, unblock decisions, and maintain momentum
- Partner closely with engineers and Forward Deployed Engineers to ensure requirements, sequencing, and execution stay aligned as systems move towards production
- Identify risks early, make tradeoffs, and keep implementations moving under real-world constraints
- Hold a high bar for what “done” means: systems that work in practice, not just in plans
- Serve as the central point of accountability for deployment progress, cross-functional coordination, and production readiness
What we’re looking for
- 2–5 years of experience in a high-performance, client-facing environment
- Demonstrated ownership of complex deliverables, not just coordination, but execution
- Ability to operate independently and push work forward without waiting for direction
- Strong judgment in ambiguous environments with competing priorities
- Credibility working with both business stakeholders and technical teams
Strong signals
- You’ve led implementation workstreams where success depended on you driving progress
- You’re known for getting things done under tight timelines and imperfect conditions
- You naturally step in to unblock teams rather than escalate or wait
- You’re comfortable getting into the details when needed, not just staying at the surface
- You can keep multiple stakeholders aligned without losing speed, accountability, or quality
You might be a fit if you:
- Prefer driving real outcomes over managing timelines and status updates
- Get frustrated when work stalls and instinctively push it forward
- Enjoy working directly with customers but want to be accountable for results
- Thrive in fast-moving environments where roles are fluid and expectations are high
- Like being the person who makes sure complex work actually lands in production
Why Astraeus
- You’ll own real deployments with visible impact
- You’ll work at the intersection of customers, product, and engineering
- You’ll operate with high autonomy and high accountability
- You’ll help define how AI-native systems get deployed successfully inside complex organizations
Applied AI Engineer
The Role
You will design and ship production-grade AI systems that turn modern model capabilities into useful, durable products. This includes agentic analytics, tool-using workflows, retrieval and context systems, orchestration, evaluation, and the supporting infrastructure needed to make these systems reliable in the real world.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to work close to the frontier, but cares as much about correctness, observability, and security as they do about raw capability. You should be excited by fast-moving applied AI, but grounded enough to know that production systems win on discipline, not demos.
You will be expected to move quickly, own major surface area, and help define both architecture and product behavior. This is not a narrow implementation role. It is a foundational engineering role for someone who wants to build durable AI systems in production in a highly regulated industry.
What You’ll Do
- Build production AI systems for analytics, research, workflow automation, and decision support
- Design and implement agentic workflows that use models, tools, retrieval, memory, and structured data together
- Develop robust orchestration patterns for multi-step reasoning and action-taking systems
- Improve system quality through evals, tracing, failure analysis, guardrails, and feedback loops
- Build for reliability, observability, and auditability from the start
- Work across the stack, from backend systems and APIs to model integration and workflow design
- Collaborate closely with leadership and product on what to build, not just how to build it
- Stay current on the latest applied AI and agentic engineering techniques, and translate useful advances into production improvements
- Help establish engineering standards around security, testing, reviewability, and operational safety
What We’re Looking For
- Strong engineering fundamentals and a track record of shipping real software
- Experience building with modern LLM systems, agent workflows, or AI-powered product features
- Strong understanding of the practical challenges in applied AI: context management, tool use, evals, failure modes, and system reliability
- High agency and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Strong product instinct and willingness to own outcomes end-to-end
- Security-minded engineering judgment and respect for working with sensitive data and constrained environments
- Ability to balance speed with rigor
- High standards, low ego, and strong intellectual honesty
- Experience with agentic systems, orchestration frameworks, retrieval pipelines, or custom AI infrastructure
- Experience building analytics or decision-support products
- Experience in fintech, enterprise software, or other data- and workflow-heavy environments
- Experience with evaluation systems, observability, and testing for LLM-based applications
- Familiarity with designing systems for human review, approval, and intervention
- Comfort working across backend, infra, and applied AI rather than staying inside a narrow specialization
Strong signals
- You have built AI systems that moved beyond demos into production use
- You know how to separate raw model capability from production readiness
- You are comfortable working across models, tooling, backend systems, and workflow design
- You care about evals, failure modes, observability, and guardrails as much as raw output quality
- You can move quickly without becoming sloppy
- You are serious about craft, but low ego in how you work with others
You might be a fit if you
- Want to build consequential AI systems, not just experiment around the edges
- Like hard problems, short feedback loops, and real accountability
- Naturally take responsibility beyond your formal scope
- Can go from prototype to production without losing the thread
- Are excited by fast-moving technical change, but can separate durable ideas from hype
- Want meaningful room to shape architecture, product behavior, and engineering standards early
Why Astraeus
- You’ll help define the architecture, product, and engineering culture of an AI-native company at an early stage
- You’ll work on real problems in high-stakes environments with real constraints
- You’ll have unusual ownership and responsibility from day one
- You’ll build systems that are meant to matter in production, not just in demos
- You’ll work with a small, high-trust team with high standards and low politics
Senior Enterprise Account Executive
This is not a role for someone who wants a fully built machine around them. It is for someone who wants to help build the early enterprise motion while carrying real revenue responsibility. You should want to be a senior individual contributor in an early company: someone who can source, shape, and close important accounts while helping refine how Astraeus sells.
What you’ll do
- Own and close enterprise revenue across a defined set of target accounts
- Build and manage a high-quality pipeline within RIAs, aggregators, custodians, and wealth platforms
- Lead complex sales cycles from first conversation through close
- Sell to executive buyers including CEOs, CIOs, COOs, Heads of Advisory, and other senior stakeholders
- Translate Astraeus’ capabilities into clear business value, strategic differentiation, and economic ROI
- Position Astraeus as a core platform decision, not a point tool
- Partner closely with founders on messaging, objections, packaging, and GTM feedback
- Help shape the early enterprise sales motion through direct market insight and real deal experience
- Maintain a high bar for pipeline quality, deal discipline, and internal visibility as Astraeus builds its early revenue engine
What we’re looking for
- 7–10+ years of experience in enterprise wealth management technology sales
- Strong track record selling complex platform or infrastructure products into RIAs, custodians, aggregators, or wealth platforms
- Credibility with senior buyers and the ability to navigate multi-stakeholder enterprise decisions
- Strong grasp of advisor workflows, portfolio systems, and wealth management operating environments
- Experience selling into markets shaped by legacy platforms such as Addepar, Tamarac, Black Diamond, Envestnet, or adjacent systems
- Proven ability to run long-cycle, consultative enterprise sales processes
- Comfort operating in an early-stage environment where the motion is still being built
- Strong commercial judgment, discipline, and ownership
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to move between executive narrative, operational detail, and commercial negotiation
- Experience with MEDDIC sales framework
Strong signals
- You have closed large, strategic enterprise deals in wealth management or adjacent markets
- You know how to sell platform change, not just incremental tooling
- You are comfortable selling into organizations with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and long decision cycles
- You can move between executive narrative, product detail, and commercial negotiation without losing credibility
- You want to help shape the sales motion, not just inherit a territory
- You know how to create momentum in deals even when the category is new and the buying process is not yet obvious
You might be a fit if you
- Want to sell something foundational, not incremental
- Prefer owning important deals over working a high-volume motion
- Like helping shape positioning and GTM, not just carrying a quota
- Are comfortable in founder-led environments where the playbook is still being written
- Want to be judged on judgment, execution, and closes, not just activity volume
Why Astraeus
- You’ll sell a real platform wedge into a market still dominated by fragmented legacy software
- You’ll work directly with founders on category definition, product feedback, and enterprise GTM
- You’ll help land the accounts that define the company
- You’ll have meaningful influence over how Astraeus is positioned and how the enterprise motion gets built
- You’ll have top-of-market compensation, strong upside, and meaningful equity
- You’ll help define what great enterprise selling looks like for an AI-native company in wealth management
Customer Success Lead
This is not a support role, and it is not passive account management. You are here to make customers successful in practice: driving adoption post deployment, driving usage, managing stakeholders, spotting risk early, and turning early wins into durable accounts.
You should want both sides of the role: being in the details with customers day to day, and building the operating model behind the function. That includes shaping account cadence, success metrics, renewal process, escalation paths, and the early playbooks that will define how Astraeus runs post-sales. You will help establish the standard for how Astraeus manages customers post-launch: not just to retain them, but to deepen value, expand relationships, and turn early accounts into long-term references and revenue-driving partnerships.
What you’ll do
- Own the post-sales relationship for key accounts from rollout through ongoing adoption, retention, and expansion
- Drive customer engagement and usage by keeping priorities clear, momentum high, and stakeholders aligned
- Run regular customer check-ins, working sessions, and executive reviews
- Identify account risk early and coordinate internal action before issues become renewal or relationship problems
- Work closely with Forward Deployed Engineers, product, and leadership to ensure customer needs are addressed
- Translate customer feedback into clear internal priorities without becoming a passive go-between
- Help shape renewals and expansion opportunities by staying close to customer goals, usage, and value delivered
- Build the initial customer success practice, including account plans, review cadences, success metrics, escalation patterns, and lightweight playbooks
- Serve as the internal owner of customer health, making sure Astraeus stays ahead of risk, aligned on account priorities, and disciplined about value delivery
What we’re looking for
- 4–8 years in customer success, account management, implementations, solutions, or a similar client-facing role in a demanding environment
- Strong ownership and follow-through
- Excellent judgment with senior stakeholders and demanding customers
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and helping define a function from scratch
- Ability to coordinate across product, engineering, and leadership without losing the customer thread
- Strong commercial instincts around retention, expansion, and referenceability
- Enough technical fluency to work effectively with technical teams and understand what has actually been deployed for the customer
- Experience in financial services, wealth management, or another regulated environment is a plus
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to run both executive-level conversations and detail-oriented working sessions
Strong signals
- You have owned important customer relationships where retention and growth depended on your judgment
- You are good at preventing drift and do not let issues compound quietly
- You can run an executive conversation, a working session, and an internal escalation with equal credibility
- You know how to push for customer outcomes without overpromising or creating internal chaos
- You have built lightweight process where none existed before
- You like being both an operator and a builder
- You are trusted to represent the customer internally without losing sight of company priorities or commercial reality
You might be a fit if you
- Want to own relationships after the sale, not just get the deal signed
- Care about adoption and customer outcomes, not just account coverage
- Like being close to customers but also like making the internal machine work
- Want a role that mixes relationship management, execution, and commercial judgment
- Thrive in fast-moving environments where the playbook is still being written
Why Astraeus
- You will define the first real customer success motion at the company
- You will work directly with important early customers
- You will have visible impact on retention, expansion, and customer quality
- You will operate at the intersection of customers, product, engineering, and leadership
- You will have real autonomy and real accountability
- You will help define what excellent post-sales execution looks like inside an AI-native company
